Every so often a set of photos comes in from a finished job and the whole showroom stops to
look. This one’s from a recent build with AP Williams – we did the colour selection on this
one, and it’s a nice reminder that a little splash of colour can absolutely make a home!
Three tiles, three jobs. A large-format warm greige stone-look tile runs floor to floor through the whole home — kitchen, living, hallway, bathrooms — for a calm, continuous base underfoot. A soft off-white handmade-look brick tile sits behind the kitchen sink as the splashback, adding a bit of texture without shouting over everything else. And then there’s the hero: a narrow vertical mosaic in a genuine reactive glaze, shifting from sage through moss green to blue-grey and cream, piece to piece. We used it twice – floor-to-ceiling in the ensuite and again as the shower feature wall in the main bathroom – so it reads as one considered decision rather than a one-off feature.
Nothing here is fighting against the colour scheme. The large-format base does the quiet work, the splashback adds warmth, and the reactive glaze gets to be the moment every time it shows up. Repeating the main tile, and introducing a different feature tile in each room is one of our favourite tricks for making a whole-home palette feel resolved.
