So many new deliveries have landed at Willow, and the team’s had a lot of fun unboxing these ones. Texture, natural stone, a French pattern we’ve been waiting on, and some tapware that stopped us in our tracks. Brian’s hand-picked every piece, so here’s what’s new and worth a look.
Japanese Mosaics
These are the tiles you’ll want to run your hand across the second you see them. Our new Japanese mosaics cover everything from rich, textured gloss glazes that shift in the light to a rustic brick-look style with a more architectural edge.
There’s a reason these have such a reputation. Japanese mosaics taditionally come out of Tajimi, a town in Gifu Prefecture that’s been firing clay for roughly 1,300 years and is recognised as the birthplace of the glazed mosaic tile. At the industry’s peak last century, one small district there, Kasahara, had more than 100 tile factories running at once. That depth of craft is what you feel in the glaze: a richness and controlled colour variation that mass production never quite manages.
Natural Stone Tumbled Edge
If you love natural stone, come and see this range. We’ve brought in tumbled 200×200 stone across a huge range of natural stones, each with its own colour, movement and personality.
Tumbled stone has those soft, slightly worn edges and a matte, tactile surface that feels timeless the moment it’s laid. It works in a coastal home, a French-provincial kitchen, an outdoor entry, a modern checkerboard bathroom floor. And because it’s natural, every batch reads a little differently, so the tones are well worth seeing with your own eyes.
New Displays
We’re partway through building some new displays, and there’s one we’re especially excited about: a gorgeous rustic French pattern. Aged, characterful, full of old-world warmth.
The best bit is that it’s porcelain rather than stone. So you get that beautiful rustic French look with the durability and stain resistance of porcelain. No sealing, no fuss, and it shrugs off everyday spills, which makes it ideal for a busy kitchen, a hallway, or anywhere you want character without the upkeep.
Pop in over the next few weeks and you might catch it going up.
Serenity Tapware by Nero
You may not feel tapware is worth getting excited about, but Nero’s Serenity range is something else. The standout is the handle: real marble, inset into the tap, with options like Carrara, Marquina black and travertine, every piece uniquely veined.
It pairs that natural stone with finishes including brushed nickel, brushed gold, gunmetal and chrome, finished off with soft curved spouts and a refined, minimal profile.
It’s a beautiful finishing touch on a stone or marble-look space, tying your tapware straight back to your tiles. The marble handles really are worth seeing in person.
Come See It In Person
Photos only tell you so much with products like these. The glaze that changes in the light, the weight of a marble handle, the variation across a pallet of natural stone, you have to stand in front of it. That’s what the showroom is for.
We’d love to show you through. Bring your plans, your inspo pics, or just your curiosity, and let’s find something special for your project.
